Created in California in 1992, Skyy is distilled via four-column distillation from 100% American grains. It uses pure filtered water and is triple-filtered. Made in the USA.
DISTILLED FROM ANY AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT, MOST COMMONLY GRAINS OR POTATOES. TYPICALLY DISTILLED TO 95% ABV. WATER IS ADDED TO BRING THE SPIRIT DOWN TO AS LOW AS 37.5% ABV IN THE EU AND 40% ABV IN THE US. IT IS USUALLY FILTERED, OFTEN WITH CHARCOAL, PRIOR TO BOTTLING. IT IS ALMOST ALWAYS CLEAR AND UNAGED.
“Skyy falls on the neutral side in the realm of vodka. Not a whole lot going on aromatically. Some light grain aromas. As you taste, the vodka is soft and plush. Finish is peppery and not very long lasting. Heat from alcohol is noticeable. There is an oily feeling after you taste. More suitable to mixing rather than sipping. “
